One in three American households has someone who loves to create scrapbooks, so it is natural that new trends are quickly changing in this industry. What used to be a paper-and-stickers craft is becoming a multi-billion dollar industry. This change is mostly due the new dimensional embellishments.
Embellishments are to a scrapbook pages as accessories are to your outfit. You can wear a plain dress or you can make it unique with the perfect belt, bag and shoes. Similarly, a two dimensional scrapbook page comes to life with beads, flowers, brads, eyelets, ribbons, vellum, stickers and more.
Eyelets and Brads
Some of the hottest products in embellishment are eyelets and brads- both fasteners that add a twist to the old-age glue and photo corners. Eyelets have a whole in the middle where you can add ribbons or strings to add a hanging effect or a little extra color. Brads on the other hand are solid and come in several different sizes and colors that add an extra dimension to pictures
