Many people want to try online scrapping, but find programs such as Photoshop or Photoshop elements to difficult to find out. A lot of these software programs usually are usually rather expensive. A perfect choice is offered, My Memories Suite. I actually received access to this amazing computer software last week, and here is my own My Memories Suite Review. After I opened up the application the first time, I found myself a bit confused. But I really made the 1st page layout in an hour without the need to look at the handbook. My Memories Suite is basically so easy to work with.
The thing that overwhelmed me a little when I opened the program was the menus. There is one sidebar on both sides of the work area as well as an icon bar on top of it. And at the first peek, they seem doing the exact same. You can insert images and embellishments from all 3 of them. Although the left sidebar is a bit more like a browser, while the control panel sidebar at the right side allows you to modify everything. Like shadows, inserting music, create videos etc. The left sidebar is great for searching your images.
With My Memories Suite you can basically be as creative as you would like. You can create each page like it was a piece of art, add lots of embellishments and fancy titles. But you may also use the automated features of the program. You can pick a ready made album, then use the autofill feature to add your pictures. Even when you use autofill you can return and change each page till you are satisfied with them. Everyone knows how irritating it is to get a photobook back from a printer with spelling mistakes. My Memories Suite has a spell checker function, maybe one of the most useful features about the program.
Occasionally I am a little narrow minded. I remember reading a review of another scrapbook software in Macworld a while ago. And the person who wrote this review listed pros and cons, and one of the drawbacks was that he couldn’t add music to the pages. And I thought….hellooo….we make scrapbooks, we don’t expect to hear Holiday with Scorpions when we open our vacation scrapbook.
The possibility to add music and video can obviously not be add to a printed book of paper, but what My Memories Suite can do for you is create a dvd that includes music tracks and video snippets. I actually think this is a really cool thing. Instead of sending your scrapbook around the table when you have a family gathering, you could put the dvd in your player and flip through a virtual book on your tv for everyone to see at the same time.
