Many of us want to try computer scrapbooking, but think applications such as Photoshop or Photoshop elements to difficult to learn. These kind of software usually are also quite costly. An excellent option can be purchased, My Memories Suite. I got access to this brilliant computer software last week, and here is my own My Memories Suite Review. Once I opened the software the first time, I found myself a bit confused. However I actually made my very first page layout within an hour with no need to check out the guide. My Memories Suite is actually that simple to work with.
The thing that confused me a little once I started out with the program was the menus. You have one sidebar on each side of the work area and an icon bar over it. And at the first peek, they appear doing the exact same. It is possible to add pictures and embellishments from all 3 of them. Although the left sidebar is a bit more similar to a browser, whilst the control panel sidebar on the right side will let you modify everything. Like shadows, inserting music, create videos etc. The left sidebar is ideal for browsing your pictures.
My Memories Suite lets you be as artistic as you want to be. You may put a whole lot of work into each page if you want. Add a lot of details, make the perfect title and layer your papers. Or it is possible to do it the fast way. Pick a ready made album and autofill it with your pictures. The last option is really pretty good. And even though you make use of autofill, it is possible to adjust the pages to your liking afterwards, before you order your printed book. My Memories Suite even has a dictionary with spell checker included, and that is a very handy feature. It is so annoying when you have spent lots of time making your book, and it comes back from the printer with spelling mistakes you overlooked.
Sometimes I am a little narrow minded. I recall reading an overview of another scrapbook software in Macworld not long ago. And the one who wrote this review listed benefits and drawbacks, and one of the cons was that he couldn’t add music to the pages. And I thought….hellooo….we make scrapbooks, we don’t expect to hear Holiday with Scorpions when we open our family vacation scrapbook.
The possibility to add music and video can obviously not be add to a printed book of paper, but what My Memories Suite can do for you is create a dvd that includes music tracks and video snippets. I actually think this is a really cool thing. Instead of sending your scrapbook around the table when you have a family gathering, you could put the dvd in your player and flip through a virtual book on your tv for everyone to see at the same time. If you are still not convinced that My Memories Suite is for you, or still to expensive, then do a google search for a My Memories Suite Coupon. It should be pretty easy to find!
