Look Out For A Coupon For The Best Computer Scrapbooking Application
Almost once a week I get e-mails coming from people asking for an alternative to Photoshop or Photoshop Elements, wishing for something cheaper and easier to use. My Memories Suite might be exactly what you are interested in. I have been writing a My Memories Suite Review the last week. It does not have the similar learning curve as Photoshop or Photoshop Elements. I will admit that I was a little confused when I first opened the software, but I made my first layout within 1 hour, even though I never used My Memories suite before. It truly is that easy to use.
What confused me a little when I opened this system was the menus. There is one sidebar on both sides of the work area and an icon bar on top of it. And at the first view, they appear doing exactly the same. You can insert photos and embellishments by all 3 of these. However the left sidebar is a bit more similar to a browser, while the control panel sidebar at the right side allows you to customize everything. Like shadows, inserting music, make videos etc. The left sidebar is great for searching your photos.
With My Memories Suite you may pretty much be as creative as you desire. You can create each page like it was a piece of art, add lots of elements and fancy titles. But you can also use the automated features of the software. You can choose a predesigned album, and then use the autofill function to add your photos. Even when you use autofill you can return and modify each page until you are pleased with them. Anyone knows how irritating it is to get a photobook back from a printer with spelling mistakes. My Memories Suite has a spell checker function, maybe one of the most useful features about the software.
Sometimes I am a little narrow minded. I remember reading a review of another scrapbook software in Macworld a while ago. And the one who wrote this review listed advantages and disadvantages, and one of the cons was that he couldn’t add music to the pages. And I thought….hellooo….we make scrapbooks, we don’t expect to listen to Holiday with Scorpions once we open our vacation scrapbook.
Well, actually this is a great function. Rather than sending your album around for everyone to admire after a family dinner, you could just put a dvd in your player and show the whole book on your big flatscreen tv for everyone to see. With My Memories suite you can do all this. You can have a dvd ordered with your printed scrapbook if you like AND you can include video snippets inside the scrapbook pages, and also music. How cool is that? If you search around a My Memories Suite Coupon, should be pretty easy to find.
