A Review And A Coupon For The Best Program for Digital Scrapbooking
The last years many different kinds of applications for digital scrapping has become for sale in the stores. You should use a lot of applications for this purpose. Many scrappers favor applications such as Photoshop or Photoshop Elements. The problem with these applications for many individuals is the price tag, photoshop sells for several hundred dollars, and a software as complex as this one has a very high learning curve. This week I’ve written a My Memories Suite Review on my wordpress blog, and this software is both cheap and super easy to learn. Even though it does not have all the expert functions as Photoshop, it’s more than enough for the majority of digital scrapbookers.
The thing that confused me a little bit as I started out with this software was the menus. You have one sidebar on both sides of the work area as well as an icon bar on top of it. From the first peek, they appear doing precisely the same. You can insert photos and elements from all 3 of these. Although the left sidebar is a bit more like a browser, whilst the control panel sidebar on the right side allows you to modify every little thing. Like shadows, including music, make videos etc. The left sidebar is ideal for browsing your photos.
My Memories Suite lets you be as artistic as you would like to be. You can put a whole lot of work into each page if you’d like. Add a lot of details, make the perfect title and layer your papers. Or you can do it the quick way. Pick a premade album and autofill it with your pictures. The last option is really great. And even if you use autofill, you can modify the pages the way you like afterwards, before you order your printed book. My Memories Suite even has a dictionary with spell checker included, that is a very handy feature. It is so annoying when you have spent lots of time making your book, and it comes back from the printer with spelling errors you missed.
Sometimes I am a little narrow minded. I remember reading an overview of another scrapbook software in Macworld a while ago. And the person who wrote this review listed positives and negatives, and one of the negatives was that he couldn’t add music to the pages. And I thought….hellooo….we make scrapbooks, we don’t expect to hear Holiday with Scorpions when we open our vacation scrapbook.
Well, in fact this is a really cool feature. Rather than sending your album around for everyone to admire after a family dinner, you could just put a dvd in your player and show the whole book on your big flatscreen tv for everyone to see. With My Memories suite you can do all this. You can have a dvd ordered with your printed scrapbook if you like AND you can include video snippets inside the scrapbook pages, and also music. How cool is that? If you search around a My Memories Suite Coupon, should be pretty easy to find.
