Many of us want to try digital scrapping, but find programs such as Photoshop or perhaps Photoshop elements to hard to learn. Most of these software are usually quite expensive. An excellent choice is on the market, My Memories Suite. I actually received access to this excellent computer software last week, and here is my own My Memories Suite Review. When I opened up the software for the first time, I got just a little bit confused. However I really created the 1st page layout during an hour with no need to look at the guide book. My Memories Suite really is so simple to work with.
When you get into the program the very first time, you will notice the work area in the middle, between a browser sidebar on the left and a control panel on the right side. And there is also an icon tool bar at the top. You’ll be able to place images, backgrounds and elements from all of them. There are some differences though. Although you can place an element to your page from the left sidebar, it won’t let you to add shadows and other effects. You can do that from the right sidebar, the control panel.
With My Memories Suite you can basically be as creative as you would like. You can create each page like it was a piece of art, add lots of embellishments and fancy titles. But you may also use the automated features of the program. You can select a premade album, then use the autofill function to add your images. Even when you use autofill you can go back and change each page until you are pleased with them. Everybody knows how irritating it is to get a photobook back from a printer with spelling mistakes. My Memories Suite has a spell checker function, maybe one of the most useful features about the program.
Occasionally I’m a little narrow minded. I recall reading a review of another scrapbook software in Macworld a while ago. And the person who wrote this review listed pros and cons, and one of the cons was that he couldn’t add music to the pages. And I thought….hellooo….we make scrapbooks, we don’t expect to hear Holiday with Scorpions when we open our family vacation scrapbook.
The possibility to add music and video can obviously not be add to a printed book of paper, but what My Memories Suite can do for you is create a dvd that includes music tracks and video snippets. I actually think this is a really cool thing. Instead of sending your scrapbook around the table when you have a family gathering, you could put the dvd in your player and flip through a virtual book on your tv for everyone to see at the same time. If you are still not convinced that My Memories Suite is for you, or still to expensive, then do a google search for a My Memories Suite Coupon. It should be pretty easy to find!
