The last years several types of programs for computer scrap booking is currently available in the shops. You can use a lots of programs for this purpose. When you first open the My Memories Suite, you will see a left and a right sidebar and the work area between the two. And additionally we have a tool bar at the top. At the first glanze they appear quite similar, but they certainly have different options. You use the left sidebar to browse your photos and to access the online store to purchase new kits. The right sidebar is the control panel. Even if you can include both photos and elements from both sidebars, the right one is where you can add effects such as shadows, bevels and even music!
My Memories Suite lets you be as creative as you wish to be. You may put a whole lot of work into each page if you want. Add a lot of details, make the perfect title and layer your papers. Or you may do it the fast way. Pick a premade album and autofill it with your photos. The last option is really pretty good. And whether or not you make use of autofill, you’ll be able to modify the pages to your liking afterwards, before you order your printed photobook. My Memories Suite even has a dictionary with spell checker included, and that is a very handy feature. It is so annoying when you have spent lots of time making your book, and it comes back from the printer with spelling blunders you overlooked.
Occasionally I’m a little narrow minded. I recall reading an overview of another scrapbook software in Macworld not long ago. And the person who wrote this review listed positives and negatives, and one of the drawbacks was that he couldn’t add music to the pages. And I thought….hellooo….we make scrapbooks, we don’t expect to hear Holiday with Scorpions when we open our vacation scrapbook.
Well, actually this is a awesome feature. Instead of sending your album around for everyone to admire after a family dinner, you could just put a dvd in your player and show the whole book on your big flatscreen tv for everyone to see. With My Memories suite you can do all this. You can have a dvd ordered with your printed scrapbook if you like AND you can include video snippets inside the scrapbook pages, and also music. How cool is that? If you search around a My Memories Suite Coupon, should be pretty easy to find.
