A Review And A Coupon For The Easiest To Use Application for Computer Scrapbooking
The last years several types of software for computer scrapping is currently offered in the shops. You can use a lots of programs for this specific purpose. A lot of scrappers favor software such as Photoshop or Photoshop Elements. However, the problem with these applications for many is the price, photoshop will cost you several hundred dollars, and a software as complex as this one has a very high learning curve. This week I’ve written a My Memories Suite Review on my blog, and the program is both low-cost and super easy to learn. Even if it does not have all the advanced features as Photoshop, it is more than enough for the majority of digital scrapbookers.
The thing that confused me a little bit once I started out with this software was the menus. You have one sidebar on each side of the workspace as well as an icon bar on top of it. From the first peek, they appear to do the exact same. It is possible to add pictures and elements from all 3 of these. Although the left sidebar is a bit more similar to a browser, while the control panel sidebar at the right side allows you to customize every little thing. Like shadows, including music, compose videos etc. The left sidebar is perfect for browsing your pictures.
With My Memories Suite you may basically be as creative as you wish. You can create each page like it was a piece of art, add lots of elements and fancy titles. But you can also use the automated features of the software. You can select a predesigned album, and then use the autofill function to include your photos. Whether or not you use autofill you can return and modify each page until you’re pleased with them. Anyone knows how annoying it is to get a photobook back from a printer with spelling mistakes. My Memories Suite has a dictionary with spell checker function, maybe one of the most useful features about the software.
Sometimes I am a little narrow minded. I recall reading a review of another scrapbook software in Macworld a while ago. And the person who wrote this review listed pros and cons, and one of the negatives was that he couldn’t add music to the pages. And I thought….hellooo….we make scrapbooks, we don’t expect to listen to Holiday with Scorpions when we open our vacation scrapbook.
I think the idea of adding music and video to a virtual scrapbook is an excellent idea. When you have family and friends visiting, you will not have to send your printed scrapbook around the table. Instead you can put a dvd in your player and you can all see the virtual scrapbook on your tv. Have you decided to buy the program yet?
