Who would have thought that entering a baby photo contest could lead to a lucrative career in television, magazines or other modeling careers? But it is true. Getting this kind of early exposure is a perfect way to get your foot (actually your child’s foot!) in the door, a door that leads to bigger and better, more exciting opportunities. But where do you start?
Where you start is very simple. You start with your baby pictures. Well, not your baby pictures, but your baby’s pictures. I am quite sure you have a mountain of baby pictures contained in volumes of photo albums and scrapbooking albums, probably in every room of your house. Start there and begin the probably lengthy process of choosing a few baby pictures that would be suitable for a baby photo contest.
Your next step in guiding the future career path of your darling little angel is to find out where to use your chosen baby photos. Where to get the maximum exposure that will get the attention of the executives of television, magazine and modeling agencies, so that you can start getting those casting calls pouring in. An argument here could be produced concerning whether to enter your baby picture in a free photo contest, or one where you need to pay a fee. In my humble opinion, that decision should be based solely upon your objectives. If you are after career exposure for your baby, then free photo contest is the way to go. However, if you are after career exposure and you’d like to pick up some nice prizes along the way, then those contests that you have to pay a fee to enter most often carry the best prizes.
Online photo contests are the easiest to both find and enter. In today’s technologically savvy world, most people have digital cameras, photo editors on their computers, and a connection to the internet. So it is an easy matter to prepare your chosen baby picture to be uploaded to the online photo contest of your choice, do a search in Google or your favorite search engine, and choose the online photo contest that will best serve your purpose, either advancing your baby’s future career or capturing the best prizes, or both. Payments, if an entry fee were involved, are easy to do online as well.
When that inevitable day arrives, and your baby’s picture becomes a photo contest winner, the rest is a piece of cake. Just do it again. Enter another contest for exposure. Then do it again. Rinse and repeat. With enough wins under your belt, you are assured notice by the top brass in television, magazines and modeling agencies. Then, there is nothing left to say but, “A star is born!”
As a side note to entering baby photo contests where they charge a fee. A benefit to entering these contests is that their prizes are usually cash prizes. Enter enough of these and your baby’s college is paid for early, just in case there are any career changes – or challenges – midstream in life.
And, naturally, what better way to show off the fact that your’s is the cutest baby on the big blue marble than to enter these contests, and win? That would prove to all those nay-sayers saying their babies are the cutest, who is right. A little pride in one’s child never hurt anyone, least of all the child. Your baby will know that you knew and cared enough to share his or her beauty with the world by entering all these contests. Bonding never was any better than that.
A baby photo contest has many advantages, whether you are after the career exposure or the prize. But remember that it is entertainment, and you and your baby should have fun when participating, to help you both create life-long memories of the joys and happiness that entering baby photo contests can bring.
